This is the process of the ceremony. The soldiers from India and Pakistan would engage in a shouting match before parting ways with their flags and exchanging handshakes. This was accompanied by the cheers of the onlookers. Witnessing the ceremony in person is a unique experience. Indian side was leading, where the noise was strongest. The crowd on the Pakistani side was smaller, and the thousands of spectators on the Indian side easily outmatched them. At six o’clock, the flags were lowered in unison, folded, and held by the soldiers. The ceremony ended with a handshake between the two sides.

Bike Trip – First Three Days(30-July-2022 – 01-August-2022)
The first visit was to Safdarjung’s tomb. This memorial is located near Lodhi Road and was built for Nawab Mirza Muqeem Abdul Mansoor Khan. The mausoleum was completed in 1754 and is the last garden-style mausoleum of the Mughal era. The building materials used are red stone and marble. Abdul Mansoor Khan, who came to India in 1722 and became the ruler of Awadh, was later known as ‘Safdarjung’. He was born in Nisambur, Iran, the birthplace of Umar Khayyam, a famous mathematician, historian, and poet. Despite its size and beauty, this memorial is not a popular tourist destination in Delhi.
A trek to Varayaattumotta
It is a beautiful mountain in the Ponmudi hills of the Thiruvananthapuram district. It is also called Varayaattumudi. It is a very tough trekking route and about a 14 km walk in both directions. Agasthyakoodam Trip – Part 1
Agasthyakoodam trip was a dream that came to my mind during my school days. The main reason behind that was my uncle, Anil. My uncle was the one who climbed Agasthyakoodam hills many years ago. The first pilgrimage was in 1987. Then in January 2002 (when I was in eighth grade) my uncle called to say that the season for that year would begin shortly
Meenmutti-Ponmudi Trip
This trip is still one of the most memorable trips which I made as a child. The period was 2000-2001. I was in fifth grade or sixth grade. During vacations, I used to go to my grandmother’s sister’s place. A small trip on the K.S.R.T.C bus followed by short walk with my grandma. From Vellanad in Thiruvananthapuram district to Venjaramoodu. My uncle was there to give me more encouragement than I needed for my travels and readings.
